Working Background:
I have been a physio for over 20 years including 9 years serving in the British Army. Retiring in 2014 my last posting was at the Defence Medical Rehab Centre managing the team for lower limb rehabilitation.
Also a qualified yoga and pilates instructor I’m passionate about helping people achieving their goals in particular women and runners. With a can do attitude, I take a holistic approach to injury from assessment to treatment, rehabilitation and beyond.
Specialist interest:
Runners, female athletes.
Bridging a gap between a women’s health physio and musculoskeletal physio I love working with women on their pre and post natal journey empowering women to exercise safely and confidently.
When not at the clinic…
I can be found running after my two young boys and a dog. A runner turned cyclist, I’m also never far from my two wheels or trainers. Over the years I have completed everything from Park run to London marathons, Ride London and UCI World Champs Sportives. I have developed a liking for Alpine Cols and daydream of one day completing the Haute Route.

Predominantly private and NHS musculoskeletal and orthopaedics in South Africa and England. I’ve also worked with rugby teams, cycle races and at Iron Man events.

Cricket and rugby injuries (mixture of past experience and previous studies!)

Working Background
Hi, I’m Tanja, a chartered physiotherapist with a strong background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports injury management, sports massage, strength & conditioning, and chronic pain management gained across the NHS and private practice. With a blend of clinical expertise and sports science insight I work to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance. Professional project work includes developing the CSP’s ‘Stronger My Way’ campaign, promoting strength training as an essential part of health for all.
I bring a practical evidence-based approach, with an ability to help clients understand their bodies, reduce injury risk, and enthusiastically promote long-term activity and participation in the things you love to do!

When not at the clinic…
I’m an endurance and adventure enthusiast – give me a mountain and I’m going to the summit! I love running with Totley AC, strength training and heading into the Peaks whenever possible. I’m also mum to two teenage boys and owner of a very energetic Vizsla, Hugo. Notable adventures include completing the Montane Spine Sprint in 2023 and the UTMB Fieberbrunn 51km ultra marathon 2025.

Working background:
Recently qualified as Physiotherapist with a first class degree using my clinical knowledge alongside sports massage diploma to offer sports massage appointments at Fit4-Physio.

- Paediatrics

When not at the clinic….
Playing football, watching the Blades, running with/without the dog, hiking, going charity shopping and recently I’ve enjoyed playing Padel.

I’m not actually a fan of coffee! But the best for hot chocolate is Lisboa in Crookes.

The Sports Massage Academy with an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy, and a Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training.
Working Background
My passion for running, cycling, and training led me to qualify as a sports massage therapist in 2016, followed by completing my personal training qualification the following year.
Since then, I have worked within physiotherapy clinics providing sports massage therapy, as well as in gym environments and with private clients. This varied experience has allowed me to work with a wide range of people.
Specialist interests:
I enjoy working with everyone from elite athletes to people starting their fitness journey, as well as those simply looking to stay active, mobile, and feeling their best.
When not at the clinic…
Running, running and more running. I’m passionate about running and love getting out into the Peak District and competing in all the local trail races and the odd road race, as well as heading to the Alps for some races in the big mountains. I also love spending time with my family, including my two children and our dog.

My first sporting love was actually three event riding and working with horses and I only started running because I broke my leg falling off a horse, some injuries can lead to positive things and new adventures.
