Physiotherapist
Stef Pullinger
Hi! I’m Stef! I’m a qualified physiotherapist currently offering sports massage on Saturday mornings. For my ‘proper’ job, I am a physio lecturer at Hallam University. Having a clinic at the weekend enables me to still work with clients face to face, which I love. I have a long history of participating and working within sport, and I try to remain active to this day, despite spending most of my time running around after my 2 year old!
Qualified from:
BSc Sports Science – Loughborough University
BSc Physiotherapy – Hertfordshire University
MSc Manual Therapy – Sheffield Hallam University
Working background:
NHS Rotations as a junior physiotherapist 18 months
London sports physio practice – 12 months
Verbier ski resort as a physiotherapist and sports massage therapist – 5 years
Performance sport physiotherapist @ SHU – 2 years
Physiotherapy Lecturer – 5 years
Areas of interest:
Sports and a growing interest in woman’s health
When not at the clinic….
I’m working at SHU! When not working at SHU…. I’ll be at the gym, playing netball, going to toddler classes with my small, walking the doggy in the peak district or sitting down wishing I did more of this!

Sports Massage Therapist
Samantha Timbrell
Qualified from:
Sports Massage: ITEC International Level 3 2020
Physiotherapy: Brunel University London 2022
Working Background:
I am currently working part-time as a physiotherapist at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. I have also had the opportunity to work at some incredible sporting events such as Birmingham Commonwealth Games, London Marathon and British para-swimming. Whilst completing my masters I worked at private physiotherapy practice delivering sports massage.
Specialist interest:
Paediatrics and disability.
When not at the clinic…
I am always on the go and love being outdoors. You’ll find me playing squash, spinning or running most evenings – though I’m definitely a morning person. Growing up by the sea means that is where I’m happiest, failing that, a long walk on the Peaks followed by a pub lunch will do nicely!
Most outstanding achievement / interesting fact:
I can speak three and a half languages.
What would you cook if I came round for dinner?
Something that takes a long time but is easy, like a risotto. That way we can have a drink and play some board games at the same time!
What country is on your bucket list to visit?
So many! Africa, Canada and Japan are probably top three.
Best coffee in Sheffield?
Not a coffee drinker! But we love to support our local businesses, so anywhere on Sharrow Vale Road.
Fav season and why?
Summer – longer hours, more time outdoors and people are generally happier!
