What is physiotherapy?

The science and art of musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy aims to promote healing and restore optimal function to injured muscles, ligaments and joints of the body.

What happens when i book an appointment?

At Fit4-Physio, Sheffield, we believe in treating the individual, rather than treating you as just another injured person.

This means at your first appointment, we will take a detailed history of your current condition, general / previous health issues, current physical status, and establish your aims and objectives of physiotherapy. We will then proceed to assess you physically by using a variety of physiotherapy techniques, tests and analysis of movements to establish an accurate diagnosis. We will discuss your physiotherapy treatment options and decide together on how to best manage your problem. If we think physiotherapy will not be of benefit for you or if we need more information before commencing your treatment, we will find the most appropriate route to help you (such as scans, x-rays, referral to GP’s and Consultants or just pain old simple advice!)

What happens after my appointment?

Subsequent physiotherapy sessions will involve re-assessment and adaption of your continued treatment programme. It is likely we will give you some advice and homework to do in the form of exercises (where appropriate) to compliment your physiotherapy treatment with us.

Are the Physiotherapists fully Qualified?

Our Sheffield Physiotherapists are fully qualified and registered with the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) and HPC (Health Professions Council) and have been CRB checked (Criminal Records Bureau.)
We are continually training and keeping up with the latest medical research to aim to provide you with the most up to date and effective treatment techniques.
